Our Coteaux du Layon wines are made from grapes harvested at peak ripeness, celebrated for their roundness and voluptuous character. For this cuvée, we wait until the grapes reach full over-ripeness, then carefully hand-pick them through successive selections. The result is a wine with 110g/L of natural residual sugar, beautifully balanced by vibrant acidity and exotic fruit aromas. While delightful in its youth, this wine also ages gracefully, so don’t hesitate to tuck a few bottles away in your cellar for several years.
Whether you’re a longtime fan of sweet and fruity wines or just discovering them, you’re in the right place. At Domaine des Petits Quarts, we craft rich, flavorful and smooth white wines that are ideal for sharing with friends and family.
AOC wines from an exceptional terroir
Our vineyards lies in the heart of Anjou, blessed with a cool and humid climate, ideal for viticulture. The vines thrive on 25% slopes with excellent sun exposure and benefit from a microclimate influenced by the nearby Atlantic Ocean.
The soil is composed of limestone, schist and granite, which provide the ideal conditions for our Chenin Blanc to express its full potential.
Thanks to this unique terroir and our meticulous hand-harvesting, and deep respect for nature, our wines have received numerous accolades, including the title of “Best Sweet Wine in the World” for our 1996 vintage. Our Coteaux du Layon wines proudly carry the AOC designation, which is a mark of their outstanding quality.
