A little history about Domaine des Petits Quarts

The Domaine des Petits Quarts has been located in Faye-d’Anjou since the 19th century. The sweet and liquorous wines are the ones that give the most volume to the domain. The winemaker has built the reputation of his estate on these beverages. The recognition came in 2004 with an award for “best liquorous wine in the world” for its Grain par Grain 1996 vintage. 10 years of work for such a result, it’s worth it. The Bonnezeaux appellation, of which the Domaine des Petits Quarts is a reference, has won numerous gold medals and the Godineau estate was honored in 2019 with the title of “winemaker of the year” in the Hachette guide.
Since 2021, the estate has passed into new hands. Five Angevin families have taken over from the Godineau family, which had no successors. No worries for lovers of these wines, the transmission has been entrusted to locals who love this terroir and the wines of this region. They will perpetuate the tradition and will be committed to promoting the Domaine des Petits Quarts around the world.
